Getting Started

As you know, having a noisy bunch of keys in your pocket can get old. Some may not even put other things in that pocket because of keys. Some may just be looking for something different. Something unique perhaps. The EKO1 key organizer changes how keys are carrying and used.

Though we would like it if everyone used our product, it may not work for everyone. A good way to visualize how an EKO1 key organizer could work for you, is take out your key and place them in front of you. Look at the keys you have. Do you have common keys like KW or SC series keys. Perhaps a mailbox key and some other trinkets you don't really use or need. How many do you have?

If you only have one, our product can still work with that. However, lets say you have a house key, office key, and a mailbox key. 3 keys that our product was designed for. As a matter of fact, you can put a total of 8 keys on an EKO1. Though, most people don't have that many keys. Further, you may consider separating personal keys such as house keys from work keys such as office keys. There are lots of options and ways to achieve the right fit for an EKO1 with a wide variaty of keys.

Organizing

Organizing your keys can be simple or tricky depending on the range of keys you have on your keychain. Lay them out in front of you. Look at how many you use on a daily basis. How many do you not use at all. How often do you use them.

  • KW series keys
  • SC Series keys
  • Other keys

All your KW series KW1, KW10, KW11 can be replaced with our KW10 custom cut keys. Though, the EKO1 can handle KW1 and SC1 keys; our keys are meant to give a refined look and use. Other keys such as mailbox keys, padlock keys, etc.. should be able to fit as is.

Disassembling

Disassembly is easy. We recommend you place the EKO1 on surface such as a desk, with screw facing up. You can use a dime or a penny. Even another key if you like. Simply untighten the top screws until you can remove them by hand. From that point, the screws should be able to be removed easily enough. Place both screws aside. Then remove the top plate of the EKO1 and set it aside. Now you are able to work with what you got.

Remove everything from the posts in the bottom plate. The first set of washers are the brass washers on the posts, first on the plate. These give space between the bottom plate and the keys you will be installing. Next are the gasket like spacers. These allow you add space between keys for ease of use. You don't have to use them if you are adding 4 rows of keys for a total of 8. but 6 keys, or 3 rows, you can use the spacers. In the included bag of extras, are the smaller brass washers. These are for if you are installing 2 rows, or 4 keys, and go on last before the top plate. The other spacers can be used as well.

Assembling

Assembly can be tricky the more keys you add. That being said, it's not difficult to add keys and assemble. Consider how many keys you are going to be mounting. Say you have 1 mailbox key, 1 house key, and 1 office key. To evenly space an EKO1 where you have 3 keys, you can add the key ring attachment to take up the 4th spot. One way you might consider is putting the mailbox key and the key ring attachment on the first row. Add a couple of spacers followed by the office and your house key. Add a couple more spacers and place the top plate on top of the assembly. Then screw the screws back into place. Tighted as needed to the desired tension and enjoy.

Usage

It's very easy to use. Simply draw out the key you wish to use and insert it into the lock you need to open.
